The extraction method makes a difference…
Centrifugal juicers operate at a fast speed which works well for busy people and busy juice bars but the down side is that the speed will destroy some of the nutrients and the juice will oxidise quickly. The Omega J9220 and Nutricentre are the most popular centrifugal juicers.

Cold press and masticating juicers operate at a much lower speed and press or chew the produce while gently extracting the juice. They produce a nutrient rich juice which will last longer, and also extract more juice from your produce. They are slower to juice with and for this reason are also called slow juicers. Cold press juicers use an auger or gear to extract the juice. You get single and twin gear juicers. Twin gear juicers extract more juice and nutrients than single auger juicers.
